About You
This role requires hands-on skills across ANZ payroll and ensures the accurate processing of payroll, including timesheets, leave, termination calculations, payroll tax, superannuation, and EBA interpretation.
This role will be required to work with internal and external stakeholders, such as ADP, FOD, Operations, Finance, and HR, to deploy the Payroll Solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll weekly & monthly, reconcile and submit all payroll reports after each pay run
  • Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal legislation and requirements and apply each EBA requirement on timesheet validation.
  • Manage staff queries in a timely and efficient manner and resolve them within agreed service level timeframes.
  • Ensure all payroll documents are accurately processed and in a timely manner by pay cycle.
  • Manage the month-end activities.
  • Understand all leave types (applying the firm’s policies and processes) and be able to reconcile accruals with leave takes. Understand the Portable Long Service Scheme and the different rules that apply to each state.
  • Work closely with the local HR Team, Finance Team, and global support team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimal 3 years of payroll experience end-to-end
  • Attention to detail, willingness to take on any task, and necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours to meet payroll deadlines and demand.
  • Ability to learn quickly when facing new situations and open to change.
  • Diligent management and tracking of payroll open tasks on daily basis.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
