Your role will also involve maintaining confidentiality while handling records and paperwork, completing reports as per business requirements, and ensuring compliance with employment agreements and legislation. You will also be expected to provide support to your team members, respond to queries from various stakeholders, and commit to your own professional development.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 year’s payroll experience ideally in a large business
- Experience in managing direct reports
- Working knowledge of payroll processes
- Understanding of payroll legislation
- Intermediate excel skills
- Experience working with payroll systems
- Ability to provide excellent customer service

Responsibilities:
- Oversee Payroll administrative activity for assigned areas of responsibility
- Ensure accurate setup of new employees in payroll system within agreed timeframes
- Process data changes accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Maintain all records and confidential paperwork correctly filed or disposed of in line with policy
- Complete accurate and timely reporting in line with business requirements
- Ensure employees are paid in accordance with the terms of their Employment Agreement and relevant legislation
- Provide support and advice to payroll team members where required, specifically in the areas of legal and legislative requirement
- Respond to queries from employees, management, government departments and other stakeholders accurately and in a timely manner
- Take responsibility for personal continuing professional development to enhance knowledge, skills and values needed for meeting the demands of the role
