Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll across 5+ APAC jurisdictions.
- Process starters, leavers, salary changes, allowances and one-off payments.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and complete payroll reconciliations.
- Prepare payroll journals and reconcile payroll to the General Ledger.
- Manage payroll queries, discrepancies and overpayments through to resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll requirements, including STP, superannuation, Payday Super and payroll tax.
- Support payroll compliance across other APAC jurisdictions, including Hong Kong and Korea.
- Work closely with HR, Finance and regional teams to ensure payroll inputs are accurate and complete.
- Play a key role in the migration from Workday to Neeyamo, including data validation, UAT and implementation support.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and automation.
- Support the Payroll Manager with ad hoc projects and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- 3-8 years' payroll experience, with strong end-to-end Australian payroll experience.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including STP, superannuation, payroll tax and Payday Super.
- Previous experience supporting a payroll system implementation or transformation is highly desirable.
- Experience with a major payroll platform such as Workday, Neeyamo, ADP, Ramco or similar.
- Strong reconciliation and payroll-to-GL experience, including journal preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to strict payroll deadlines.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of the payroll process.
- Strong communication skills and a service-focused approach when dealing with employees and stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in technology, process improvement and automation.
- Multi-country payroll experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
