Description:

NWSSP Payroll Services has an opportunity for the appointment of a Payroll Supervisor . The post holder will be initially based in Companies House Cardiff. The successful candidate will manage a payroll team responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive payroll within NHS Wales.
The post holder will be required to run payrolls, manage data quality and have a role in managing service improvement.
There is a requirement for the successful candidate to manage the payroll team including absence, PADR, Statutory and Mandatory Training in line with NWSSP Processes. In addition the co-ordinating and delivering payroll training.
There is the ability for home working but will be required to attend the Base.
The responsibility of the post holder is to manage the day to day work of the Payroll Team including: - to ensure that Payroll performance targets are met: ensure consistent and accurate payment calculations and output; responsible for the management /compliance in respect of sickness, PADRs, Statutory and Mandatory Training in line with NHS Wales processes and training of team members in respect of use payroll processes including BI Platforms and NHS Terms and Conditions of Service and Policies.
The post holder will require in depth knowledge of HMRC Regulations relating to payroll including PAYE, National Insurance and Statutory Payments, undertake EYU reports; run payroll processes in line with payroll deadlines and end of year payroll processing routines, reconcile payroll balances; work closely with Organisation Finance Teams and Counter Fraud Teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
