Description:
Enjoy a challenging position at a well-known organization as a Payroll Specialist. A Payroll Specialist position is available on a team at one of clients that is offered through Robert Half. This position will support the Payroll department with a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to succeed in this position the candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Surrey, British Columbia area and is a long-term contract / temporary employment role.

- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Run and build custom reports
- Distribute and administer reports as instructed
- Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals
- Skillful in learning new processes and systems
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
- Skilled in Payroll software
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Previous payroll experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
- Microsoft Excel experience
