Description:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least three year of experience processing payroll using large payroll system.
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll procedures and laws in Washington and Oregon.
- Strong numeracy and communication skills.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Payroll Specialist to join our client’s team during a critical leave of absence. The candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for about 1,500 employees. You will be the sole payroll professional during this period. As such, we are looking for a dedicated, meticulous individual with strong numerical skills, excellent organization abilities and a keen eye for detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
- Managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconciling payroll discrepancies
- Processing employee’s garnishments
- Providing timely and accurate reports
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Liaising with employees and management
- Resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions
