A multinational tech company is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist to join their team for an inital 12 month contract with opportuntieis to go permanenet. Salary for this role is €42,000 - €47,000. This role is based in City West but has a hybird policy of three days in the office, two days from home.

Key responsbilities of the Payroll Specialist Tech

  • Process EMEA regional monthly / Ac-hoc payrolls including equity transactions through 3rd party vendor, in an outsource arrangement on timely and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure payroll is processed according to company policy and country specific global and local statutory requirements with high quality, professional and timely manner.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, Treasury and statutory - tax reporting requests with high quality, professional and timely responses.
  • Provide day to day operation supports and answer to employee queries within SLA by business.
  • Maintained proper payroll documentation on each process steps.
  • Prepare and review schedules in support of internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure all processes are fully met in line with company guidelines and support Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls.
  • Work closely with internal parties HR, Treasury and statutory - tax reporting requests including equity transaction with high quality, professional and timely responses
  • Assure understanding of broader Payroll strategies.
  • Review, follow, and provide input to payroll team objectives.
  • Provide ideas, solutions, and tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll processing.
  • Support the development, reporting, and review of metrics to drive performance, identify trends, and develop/implement process improvements, escalating issues and proposed solutions as appropriate.
  • Assist the supervisor/manager with capturing and responding to escalated issues, policies, and procedures from government agencies, payroll functions, and the operating companies.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor/manager, team members, and appropriate stakeholders regarding task or project status and opportunities to improve service levels or processes. Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure quality service levels.
  • Participate in and support departmental initiatives.

KEY REQUIREMENTS OF THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST TECH

  • Generally, requires (6+) years Payroll or Finance related experience,
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Payroll required, preferably for a large multi-national company. Experience in a shared service center environment preferred
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Payroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Significant analytical and problem-solving skills required. Attention to detail a must.
  • A sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution and an ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters.
