Description:
DETAILS
- Sign-on bonus: $3,000
- Department: Neuro/ortho
- Schedule: Part time. Day shift. 7am - 7:30 pm. Every other weekend. 50% of the holidays
- Hospital: Ascension Borgess
- Location: Kalamazoo, MI
REQUIREMENTS
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
Provide services to the patients and medical staff by applying, modifying and removing casts, traction appliances, and soft goods under written orders of attending physician. Assist physicians with these procedures as needed. Interpersonal skills are necessary to comfort patients and discuss equipment problems. Analytical skills are necessary to gather and interpret data and to operate patient care equipment.
- Splinting, simple and complex.
- Casting, simple and complex.
- Patient vital signs and Pulse Ox.
- Maintain equipment for orthopedic care of patients.
- Follow appropriate delegation by RN/LPN. Assist physicians with hand cases on patients.
