We have an open position for a PCB Design Technician (m/f) for a global public manufacturer with a trusted name in precision and specialty motion control business, based in Porto.

• Work from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

What tasks does this role include?

• Create and maintain schematic diagrams, considering component selection and design objectives communicated by the Hardware Designers
• Develop PCB layouts according to design rules and best practices, industry-specific standards and manufacturability guidelines
• Manage component libraries, and be responsible for producing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation
• Conduct design reviews and work with cross-functional teams to address feedback and make necessary revisions
• Participate in the development of best practices and design guidelines

What will you bring to the role?

• Technical degree or certification in Electronics Design, PCB Design or similar
• Strong knowledge in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design principles and best practices, from the design of an electrical schematic to the generation of a full multi-layer board layout
• Experience with ECAD tools such as Altium (preferable), Cadence, Eagle, Proteus, OrCAD
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Strong attention to detail, organized, methodical and with a problem-solving mindset
• A passion for not just getting the job done, but getting the job done well.
• Fluency in English (mandatory)
