Job Description
Job Title: PCU, IMC (Intermediate Care) Nurse
Job Summary:
The PCU, IMC Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, ensuring that they receive optimal medical treatment and support. This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in caring for patients with complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients’ condition, making necessary adjustments to their care plan
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or IMC setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
