JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The PDx Global Finance Accountant – procurement is responsible for providing operations finance support within the Procurement, division of Pharmaceutical Diagnostics. The Global Finance Accountant – procurement will report to & support the Senior Supply Chain Cash & Strategy Manager, to business partner with the procurement operating teams, to deliver growth, business strategy and profitability. In this role, he/she will support & work with the teams across the Contrast Media (CM) & Molecular Imaging (MI) business, in multiple locations. This role is fantastic opportunity to gain further operational & finance knowledge of the PDx Integrated Supply Chain & develop the skills in being a business partner to various executives across the procurement function within the Supply Chain.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA,CPA, ACA,CIMA etc.) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or Graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs.
  • Financial work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Forecast process owner, including annual budget consolidation across the various purchase families (direct spend of ~$600M)
  • Responsible for preparing the newly developed Procurement’s monthly standard finance report covering Top 5 direct material spend/prices (e.g. specifically on Iodine); inflation/deflation, PPV.
  • Triangulate Spend & P&L inflation/deflation back to the ISC P&L for monthly/quarterly actuals.
  • Take the Finance lead in monthly productivity reviews within the procurement main areas (Chemicals, Packaging & medical devices, Isotopes & PET etc.)
  • Procurement P&L owner ( ~25 FTEs+; spend ~$6M),working with COE team in reviewing & analyzing monthly forecast & actuals
  • QLIK/Smartsheet finance lead for Procurement
  • Finance lead in Procurement Tier 2 team for the Cost KPI
  • Work with Controllership in forecasting/reporting monthly PPV forecast and quarterly actuals.
  • Liaise/work with the AP/Cash Management analyst in analyzing, tracking and providing operational drivers for variances versus target/budget direct Material purchases.
  • Finance lead for the annual Direct Material Standard costing process.
  • Liaise/work with System SMEs to enhance systems functionality in particular the monthly inflation/Deflation report.
  • Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information (e.g. automate forecasting reports for purchases & PPV)
  • Drive consistent usage of Hyperion, GLA (report net), and COGNOS Business Intelligence (B.I.) tools across GE Healthcare. Develop new reports for process improvements.
