Salary: $ 5,479 - $ 7,368 Monthly


We are currently searching for a Peer Support & Crisis Response Coordinator (Program Specialist 5) who can lead a team serving all divisions and programs in DCYF’s Regions 1 and 2. Our program provides trauma-informed and healing-centered practices to staff in need of support while they serve the communities around us. | Required Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience (applicable work, lived, or volunteer) related to planning, administering, developing, or delivering social service programs.OR
  • An Associate’s degree in mental health, social services, or a related field.
  • Six (6) years of experience (applicable work, lived, or volunteer) related to planning, administering, developing, or delivering social service programs.OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree in mental health, social services, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience (applicable work, lived, or volunteer) related to planning, administering, developing, or delivering social service programs

  • Demonstrated advanced level knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and working with vulnerable persons.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver or train in crisis response, peer support, trauma-informed, and wellness practices

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor performance and compliance with Peer Support and Crisis Response practice by gathering, reviewing, and analyzing statewide peer support and crisis response data.
  • Track data relating to critical incidences, frequency of responses, number of staff involved and receiving services, and make recommendations to management and leadership based on qualitative data received by staff engaging in these services.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits related to key practice and performance measures within the peer support and crisis response program.
  • Develop monthly reports for management that identify peer support and crisis response trends, compliance, and recommended legislative or policy changes related to this work.
  • Provide and develop recommendations for statewide process improvement, identifying areas of needed focus and ensuring that strategic measures are met.
  • Track and monitor the validity of training materials used by staff statewide and coordinate updates to training materials as needed by providing expert feedback around best practices.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and facilitate individual/group peer support activities, including one-on-one sessions, mentorship, drop-in groups, debriefings, and training.
  • Triage and respond to Administrative Incident Reporting System reports to respond and support agency staff.
