Grade: Band 6 or Band 5 accelerator dependent on experience
Hours: 24 hours per week (Part time and flexible working hours will be considered)

Responsibilities:

The specialist physiotherapist is an experienced clinician who carries and independently manages a full specialist clinical caseload. They are responsible for supervising designated members of staff within the specialist team.
In conjunction with the Team Lead, the post holder participates in a rolling programme of education, clinical evaluation, audit and research across the speciality.
The post holder may be required to work at any of the sites within the Trust.
To fully participate in whatever pattern of working is required by the service in the future.
Once deemed competent the post holder will be required to participate in weekend working.
You will…
To work as part of a team of Physiotherapists and wider MDT providing assessment, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and advice to ante and post natal women referred with pregnancy related musculoskeletal disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Provide assessment, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and advice for women with Uro-Gynaecological disorders and colorectal pelvic floor dysfunction, men with Pelvic floor dysfunction as well as patients with complex pelvic pain in the out-patient setting.
To deliver group based pelvic health focused patient education sessions for both the perinatal population and for patients with urinary incontinence and prolapse.
The maternity ward service is based at Dorset County Hospital (DCH) and outpatient’s clinics are held at offsite locations which may include primary and secondary care sites across West Dorset. This will include working without direct supervision at off-site locations.
It is expected that you would contribute to covering the in-patient therapy weekend rota, this will be dependent on experience.

HCPC registration as a physiotherapist
MSK experience at Band 5 or band 6 level (for band 6 post)
