Salary -Band 1 £27,500 + excellent benefits
Location – Southwark London
Contract Type –TfL, permanent.
Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • You will carry out the calculation of benefits for members
  • Checking and authorising the calculations of benefits completed by other team members
  • You will ensure data held for members is accurate and current and that all documents are regularly and accurately filed
  • Using available technology effectively to access relevant pensions content you will resolve customer issues
  • Delivering an administrative service that supports employees and members of TfL sponsored arrangements
  • Raising repeated problems or blocks to customer service
  • Continuously seek to identify ways to improve, challenging current practice and suggesting a better way

SKILLS

  • The ability to consistently apply pensions policies and procedures (Essential)
  • Good attention to detail (Essential)
  • Able to efficiently handle a high workload (Essential)
  • Good Customer Service skills (Essential)
  • Meticulous entry and maintenance of data (Highly desirable)
  • High standards of written and verbal communication (Highly desirable)

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of final salary pension administration (Essential)
  • Knowledge of the legal and tax law regarding Pensions (Essential)
  • Pensions Fund Administration Agreement knowledge (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Trust Deed and Rules (Desirable)
  • Stays ahead of external developments and standard methodology in Pensions (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of the legal and tax law regarding finance (Desirable)

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of the full administrative process of working with final salary pensions schemes (Essential)
  • Experience of working to effectively meet deadlines, service level agreements and key performance indicators (Highly desirable)

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for providing support for the administration of TfL sponsored arrangements. The TfL Pension Fund provides excellent benefits to our members and their dependents. Our Pensions & Reward Team provides support for the administration of the fund arrangements, providing services to approximately 86,000 current and former employees.
