INTERVIEW PROCESS

We generally conduct interviews in three stages, lasting approximately 2-3 weeks depending on everyone’s calendars.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a pre-screening call via teams to discuss your experience and what you’re looking for in your next role.
  • Successful candidates will be invited to an interview with the Hiring Manager.
  • If successful in interview, candidates will be invited to an informal interview with key stakeholders at Aspire to meet the wider team(s).

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of People, as a People Adviser, you’ll be providing a proactive people (HR) service to support best-in-class people practices. Working as part of an agile and collaborative people team you will support all aspects of people management from performance management to organisational change and TUPE.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and colleagues in line with Aspire’s processes and current employment legislation.
  • Provide coaching to line managers so they feel equipped for both motivating career conversations and difficult conversations where delivering effective feedback is required.
  • Creating clear solutions to employee relations matters and feeding back learnings for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring a great colleague experience through all communications - with shared responsibility to respond to queries via the People inbox and updating internal records and systems.
  • Supporting with colleague engagement and retention strategies to maintain our high-performing culture and retain our great talent within Aspire.
  • Be a champion of the Aspire values.

YOU WILL SUIT THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE

  • An understanding of current people practices and employment law and experience coaching and supporting line managers through these processes.
  • Equivalent experience to Associate CIPD level 5.
  • Ability to work well in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a coaching style.
  • Able to build strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of TUPE.
