POSITION OVERVIEW

We have an exciting opportunity for an exempt regular full-time People & Culture Administrator in our People, Culture and Transformation Department.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting highly confidential and sensitive matters; education or experience in human resources administration, ideally in a unionized environment; and a sound working knowledge of human resources systems (we use PeopleSoft HCM, Microsoft Office, eDocs Records Management and PeopleAdmin). You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, including strong keyboarding skills, and have an extremely high attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support to the People & Culture services team, including: administration of confidential records; developing and maintaining a variety of reports; supporting the recruitment process including administering the employment on-line application system and testing of applicants; assisting with the coordination of various events; dealing with employee queries and providing general administrative support to the department. You will also assist in maintaining HR data in various systems including Peoplesoft HCM and other third party benefits and pension administration systems.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to effectively shift priorities, manage competing tasks and meet tight deadlines. Initiative, outstanding customer service and effective problem solving skills are the foundations of this role. The ability to navigate sensitive conversations with diplomacy and tact is critical to success in this position; communicating effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of the organization.
