We are currently seeking a People and Culture Advisor to join our Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara. This position will be responsible for the success of the People department by providing functional Human Resources support to site with a focus on maintaining an engaged workforce that is committed to the success and values of ConsMin.
Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing the end-to-end site-based employee relations matters including grievances, safety breaches, performance management, general disciplinary meetings revolving around conduct/behaviour and mediation meetings.
Coordinating any investigations, collating evidence, keeping records, formulating disciplinary investigation reports, and making appropriate disciplinary recommendations.
Coaching and developing Supervisors in dealing/responding to various people related matters, providing advice on these matters, and building the Leader’s competency in executing any recommendations provided.
Providing advice to employees on site around various pay, grievance, and enterprise agreement issues.
Assist with recruitment interviews, internal transfers, pay increases and position changes.
Be available to employees on site and ensure positive relationships are maintained.
Managing the probation process for new employees, sending reminders to Supervisors to complete 6-week, 3-month and 6-month reviews with employees, assisting with any performance concerns.
Conduct exit interviews with employees that have left the business, assisting in collating reports that cover the data obtained to our leadership team.
Preparing a smooth handover for your incoming back-to-back.
Skills & Qualifications required to be successful in this role:
Degree in Human Resources or a relevant discipline.
HR/IR experience within the mining industry with site-based experience.
Excellent personal organisational skills, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to deal easily and effectively with a diverse range of people and willingly share knowledge and feedback with other team members.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to adapt these to multiple levels of the organisation.
The ability and determination to build and maintain excellent working relationships based on a demonstrated respect for others and a willingness to work cooperatively.
National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months).
Current C class drivers’ license.
