Description:

Position: People and Culture Assistant
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Central Office)
Exempt: No
Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 annually

As the People and Culture Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the People and Culture Business Partner in various HR-related tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, and contributing to the well-being of our staff. You will also:

  • Assist the People and Culture Business Partner in conducting new hire orientations and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Help coordinate and communicate HR policies and procedures to staff.
  • Manage HR-related documentation, including job postings, offer letters, and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in coordinating HR events, workshops, and training sessions.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with staff, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an HR or administrative role.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extended periods of working at a desk and using a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds when necessary.
  • Ability to move around the office and other facilities as needed.
