  • Have completed a tertiary Business qualification (Human Resources would be desirable) and have held a similar role for a period of not less than two (2) years ORbe studying towards a tertiary Business qualification with four (4) plus years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrated essential skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years in Senior Leadership
  • Strong HR generalist experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling grievances and following Company policy to reach resolutions.
  • Exemplary experience in developing and coaching people to reach positive outcomes.
  • High level skills interacting and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High emotional intelligence and reasoning that allows for them to positively influence those around them.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and processes as well as implementing this in managing change initiatives.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Regional People & Culture Partner who will look to oversee and drive people-related functions within the AES Hobart Hospitals. Reporting to the Hospital Director, this role will help develop department managers, support training and development initiatives, aid in grievance management and implement company-wide people strategies at a local level. This role is pivotal in driving a positive culture within the practice and for providing support to managers on strategies to effectively manage their team. The role operates in a solutions-focused environment and is responsible for some of the key areas below:

  • Coaching, consulting, support, and development of leaders within the team, including areas in training & development, performance management, grievance and culture, succession planning, resource planning and roster management and planning.
  • Act as the local point of contact for employees and / or their managers across a full range of human resource matters, including workforce planning, organisational design, change management, recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management and development and rehabilitation matters.
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of a succession plan for the practice and ensure suitable team members are developed for future roles.
  • Develop and lead projects in areas relating to Team Engagement, including but not limited to business continuity planning.
  • Action PERMA-H result plan once results are received each year in conjunction with WHS Manager.
  • Support Wellbeing Champions and strategies for workplace wellbeing and engagement.
  • Ensure that the practice’s people initiatives align to the overall business strategy.
  • Provide basic mental health first aid management and plans, seeking support from P&C/WH&S as needed.
  • Act as a conduit between National P&C Strategy and practice initiatives to ensure consistency in message, application, and feedback.
  • Ensure that the practice’s people initiatives align to overall business strategy and goals.
  • Work with department managers to develop practice rewards and recognition programs.
  • Monitor success of reward and recognition programs and adjust accordingly.
  • Act as a conduit between National recruitment Strategy and practice initiatives to ensure effective attraction and onboarding of people to practice.
