The Role

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the People Strategy of all human resource activities for the Quotient Sciences Miami Site including but not limited to employee engagement, talent & succession planning, workforce planning, coaching managers, benefits, compensation & 401k administration, analysis of People Metrics employee relations and policy administration and interpretation
  • Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures and documentation
  • Responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee files, and all aspects of benefit program documentation& 401k Savings Plan requirements
  • To comply & adhere to GCP guidelines and regulations as required of this role

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist coordinating new employee orientation and on boarding activities
  • Responsible for processing termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews
  • Maintains various metrics and documents to support People Team activities and projects, including but not limited to: development objectives, performance reviews, contact lists, service dates, headcount reporting and more
  • Partner with department leaders to coach managers to apply stay and career discussions with all employees at site level •
  • Implement and diagnose engagement surveys for action planning within the Miami Site •
  • Support all internal employee investigations, providing leadership guidance and recommendation for disciplinary action •
  • Maintain Human Resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems •
  • Respond to third party requests for employee information (i.e. verification of employment and government forms) •
  • Partner with Learning & Development function to ensure all programs are administered and facilitated according to business need. •
  • Support the performance review cycle including partnering with business leaders to finalize merit, benchmarking and bonus recommendations •
  • Ensure benefits programs are administered at site level; health & welfare, retirement, disability and unemployment
  • Responsible for preparation, process and distribution of payroll and maintenance of payroll reports for compliance purposes

Additional Tasks/responsibilities

  • Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and DEA.
  • Prepare all related employee documents requested for yearly audits (Works Comp, 401K and Financial End of Year Audit
  • Partner with Ceridian business partner, legal counsel and other professional organizations to ensure all employment policies follow current laws and regulations
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends through SHRM membership and professional certifications
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by:
  • Making suggestions for improvement
  • Learning new skills, procedures and processes
  • Is available for other duties as required

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or Business Administration
  • PHR Certification preferred or 3+ years in Human Resource position
  • Knowledge of Payroll systems such ADP required
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations
  • Computer literate, proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Power point, Excel
  • Ability to follow instruction and work under the direction of immediate supervisor
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and follow up skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to provide employee training on a 1:1 and group setting
  • Capable of managing People Team projects at site level and on a global scale as required.
  • Preferable experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment or equivalent experience in another role ​
