Description:

As a People Coordinator, you will support the People & Culture function in a generalist role by facilitating various HR processes and initiatives, including HR data management, onboarding, employee relations, training and compliance. You will be responsible for the ongoing administration and maintenance of the Human Capital Management (HCM) functionality within workday and plays a critical role in supporting the execution of People Processes across Versent in cohesion with Telstra Group practice and policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Telstra Group, all P&C teams and other departments, such as Finance and IT, on HR-related projects and initiatives
  • Manage and process background check requests and review results to support with project onboarding requirements
  • Assist in delivering Core HCM, Compensation, Recruitment and Talent processes in Workday (HRIS)
  • Act as an initial point of contact for team member inquiries, concerns, and conflicts of interest, triaging to the appropriate People Consultant
  • Administration of performance management processes, reporting and annual perform and grow cycles
  • Maintain accurate employee records in workday and generate reports/analytics to support HR decision-making processes
  • Participate in research, policy drafting, administration and governance of people policies
  • Handle various HR administrative tasks, including maintaining personnel files, processing employee changes and managing HR-related documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline HR processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the employee experience through automation, technology, and process optimization
  • Lead workday data integrity and enhancement efforts by performing routine system clean-up, testing system enhancements and maintenance of job profile integrity
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries and communications, disseminating relevant information, policies, and updates effectively across the organization.

About you:

  • 1-2 years in a similar role (preferred)
  • Broad generalist Human Resources administrative exposure and qualifications in a related discipline (preferred)
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of Workday Human Capital Management and Recruitment modules in workday (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of human resources and corporate practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – including the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Strength and experience building relationships and collaborating across lines of difference, balancing stakeholders needs, managing expectations, and with great attention to detail
  • Capability to interpret and apply policies and procedures with guidance from peers
  • Approachable with well-developed interpersonal skills and intermediate analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage, plan, organise and prioritise own workload and timeframes to achieve objectives in a timely manner
