Description:
OVERVIEW
Our client is currently seeking an experienced People and Culture Officer to come onboard to assist with a broad range of human resources and administrative functions. Some key responsibilities would include:
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a human resources or people & culture related role
- Previous experience within the APS preferred but not essential
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to provide high-level secretariat support.
- Strong oral communication, interpersonal and stakeholder/relationship management skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sounds judgement, prioritize work and manage multiple projects and tasks.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must have ongoing work rights in Australia
- Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, HR, Learning and Development or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Project support including assisting with learning and development, employee engagement, reward and recognition, wellbeing, and WH&S.
- Supporting recruitment, including advertising, interview scheduling, arranging on-boarding and induction for new staff, and maintaining human resources records, and other supporting documentation.
- Contributing to supporting and enhancing policies and procedure frameworks.
- Provide secretariat support to various committees as required.
- Assisting the Administrative Coordinator, as required, including administrative support to the CEO and other executives and managers, when the Administrative Coordinator is unavailable.
