Description:

OVERVIEW

Our client is currently seeking an experienced People and Culture Officer to come onboard to assist with a broad range of human resources and administrative functions. Some key responsibilities would include:

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a human resources or people & culture related role
  • Previous experience within the APS preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to provide high-level secretariat support.
  • Strong oral communication, interpersonal and stakeholder/relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sounds judgement, prioritize work and manage multiple projects and tasks.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must have ongoing work rights in Australia
  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, HR, Learning and Development or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Project support including assisting with learning and development, employee engagement, reward and recognition, wellbeing, and WH&S.
  • Supporting recruitment, including advertising, interview scheduling, arranging on-boarding and induction for new staff, and maintaining human resources records, and other supporting documentation.
  • Contributing to supporting and enhancing policies and procedure frameworks.
  • Provide secretariat support to various committees as required.
  • Assisting the Administrative Coordinator, as required, including administrative support to the CEO and other executives and managers, when the Administrative Coordinator is unavailable.
