MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, preferably within a start-up
  • In-depth knowledge of German labor, tax, and social security laws, with a commitment to staying updated
  • Native-level proficiency in German and business fluency in English
  • Empathy, sensitivity and discretion are your second nature when dealing with team members
  • Solution oriented mindset, strong ability to self-organize and relish working on tasks that require a high degree of attention to detail
  • Experience working with an HRIS (preferably Personio)

  • In-depth knowledge of US labor law

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a generalist People Operations Manager (d/f/m) to build our employee lifecycle management and take over all aspects of human resources (HR). In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping our company culture, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring our HR practices support our goals of innovation and growth. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a scalable setup, contribute to People & Culture projects, and streamline processes in People & Culture Operations to ensure overall employee satisfaction.
Reporting directly to our Head of Finance & Operations, you’ll have the unique opportunity to run, manage and scale the entire HR function for a fast-growing & international B2B tech company.
The start date is June 2024, the work location is Berlin, and the base salary starts at €50K gross / annum (full-time equivalent), based on relevant experience and qualifications. This position is available on a part-time basis, starting with a minimum of 32 hours per week, spread over four days with the possibility of transitioning to full-time in the future.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Onboarding Experience: You’ll setup processes to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new joiners
  • Payroll Management: You’ll prepare the payroll and run it with our payroll office, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Performance & Promotions: You’ll steer our performance review cycles and manage our promotions process
  • Feedback & Engagement: You’ll run regular employee surveys to understand satisfaction and improvements
  • HR Master Data Management: You’ll maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HRIS to ensure compliance
  • Employee Benefits: You’ll manage our employee benefits program and liaise with benefits providers
  • Training & Development: You’ll build skill development programs to support employees on their professional growth journey
  • Team Events: You’ll organize team events and strategy offsites to foster a strong company culture and team spirit
  • Strategic HR Projects: You’ll collaborate with senior management on implementing strategic HR initiatives
