Description:
Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a motivated People Operations Manager to support our team. We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial team working at the convergence of technology and national security. The work will be dynamic and wide-ranging with multi-faceted people operations work supporting those who work to deploy and scale our Game Warden platform and future product offerings.
Reporting to the VP of People Operations the People Ops Manager is a key member of the Operations Team. You will be responsible for managing operational and analytical support to enhance the overall employee experience and drive People initiatives. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all people, processes, and technologies are organized and enabled to perform at maximum potential for our employees.
Note: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in the People Operations function in an early stage, high growth start-up
- Proficient in HRIS and Performance Management Tools Experience with leave administration
- Experience with payroll administration
- Project Management skills and experienceAnalytical skills and experience (Excel, SQL, Dashboards, etc)
- Ability to operate with little direction in ambiguous and time sensitive situations
- Ability to manage sensitive information
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong relationship building skills
- Previous people management experience preferred
- U.S. citizenship
The salary range for this role is from $140,000 to $175,000.

Responsibilities:
- Manage compensation program (including payroll, variable compensation, etc)
- Manage benefits program (including leave administration, etc)
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in labor laws
- Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders on topics ranging from benefits administration, leaves of absence, state unemployment, payroll and more
- Guidance on data input, analysis and reporting with various systems (Justworks, Lattice, Lever, etc)
- Develop positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization
- Initiate and implement processes to manage projects, information, and people
- Manage and develop the People Operations Analyst
