In a context of a replacement we are looking for a People Operations Specialist to join us in our office in Berlin, Germany.
As a People Ops Specialist at Free2move, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing our human resources operations, reporting directly to the Head of People Operations. You’ll oversee personnel administration, payroll management, and HR coordination on a global scale. Your primary focus will be managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and optimizing processes to support our company’s growth.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR management
  • Experience in people ops, preferably in a scale-up and international environment
  • Proficiency in German & English is a must, French is a plus!
  • Autonomous work style & strong analytical skills
  • Tech-savvy with a knack for optimizing processes
  • Familiarity with HR tools
  • Knowledge of European labor regulations and legal obligations related to personnel management in Germany and Europe

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Employee Lifecycle: Handle onboarding, offboarding, employment contracts, and benefits administration.
  • Maintain HRIS: Keep our HRIS (Personio) and related records up to date.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve and formalize HR processes to support scaling.
  • Project Support: Assist in mergers/acquisitions and tool optimization projects.
  • Employee Support: Act as a key contact for employees, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to German labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee German and international payroll with our outsourced service provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • International Hiring: Establish procedures for hiring foreign employees, including work and residence permits.
  • HR Reporting: Prepare social dashboards to monitor metrics like headcount, absenteeism, and gender equality.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay updated on legal obligations and regulatory requirements related to personnel management in Germany and Europe.
