HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging and older persons’ mental health.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of People, this role provides support to key stakeholders within the Health & Hospital and Enabling business units to enable delivery of the business strategy through strategic people interventions. The role partners with both Senior leaders and frontline managers to provide advice and support on a range of generalist people matters (e.g. performance management, investigations, award and agreement interpretations, people policy matters, attraction and retention, engagement) and provides the interface into the business for delivery of strategic people programs.

THIS ROLE WILL WORK ACROSS OUR DIFFERENT HOSPITAL SITES ON THE NORTH SHORE OF SYDNEY AND OUR HEAD OFFICE AT ST LEONARDS.

We are open for the role to be full-time or 4 days per week (workload adjusted accordingly) as well as some flexibility for hybrid working.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the delivery of the People strategy and execute in partnership with the Head of People to allocated Business Units
  • Coaching leaders to have courageous conversations and partnering on performance related matters including investigations, disciplinaries and terminations
  • Identify opportunities and initiatives to improve culture, engagement, inclusion & belonging, processes and ways of working across the sites
  • Providing timely and professional advice and assistance to front line managers to understand and apply legislated terms and conditions
  • Keeping abreast of changes to employment law and industrial instruments applicable to business unit
  • Providing effective communication and building strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Actively contributing to strategic people projects as required
