Responsibilities:

You’ll be the first point of contact for general people advice for colleagues and requests from external contacts. You will work closely with payroll colleagues to ensure that new starters, contractual changes and leavers are processed correctly. Alongside this you will also:

  • Support managers to recruit using our applicant tracking system
  • Review and approve DBS applications and log results when they are returned
  • Ensure new colleagues are added onto the people information system accurately and have the correct paperwork to meet legal and policy requirements
  • Log and file all completed achievement reviews
  • Process paperwork for colleagues leaving the charity and calculate any payments due
  • Provide support to our Colleague Voice and Equality Forum groups including the production of agendas, taking of minutes and booking of rooms
  • Work closely with people partnering and development colleagues to ensure new starters and existing colleagues have a positive working experience
  • Have the opportunity to get involved in various people projects detailed in our People Plan
