We are now looking for a People Support Specialist in Finland to join our People Support & Training team under the Global Business Services (GBS) and Employee Life Cycle organization. The role is fixed-term due to a maternity leave cover till December 31st, 2025.

As a People Support Specialist, you will be the first line employee life cycle (HR) support for our Stora Enso employees in Finland, excluding automatically routed cases to for example payroll. Employees can contact us via phone line, online chat or via ServiceNow case ticket. The chat and phone line are open during working hours between 9.30 – 12.30 am and you will work regular office hours. You will provide our employees the valuable first touch and support on standard processes, ways of working, common tools and systems such as Workday, Flexim or Zalaris, policies and country specific guidance. Where additional guidance is needed, you will route employee’s case further to a Subject Matter Expert or to the Division of the employee. The Finland country team consists of two People Support Specialists, where this role is one of the two.

Your tasks include for example:

  • Provide first line employee life cycle and employment related (HR) support in Finnish or English via phone, chat and ServiceNow to Stora Enso employees in Finland
  • Provide first line support regarding standard and annual processes and policies, as well as systems like Workday related questions also in English when needed
  • Support with processing of employee data management and execute back-office HR administration for specific Core processes
  • Provide guidance, quick training or point towards additional training materials, internal sharepoints or job aids when available
  • Ensure first line support is delivered on a timely manner according to agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Re-assign cases further to a Subject Matter Expert or Division P&C experts when additional information is needed
  • Support knowledge sharing across the organization, apply a continuous improvement mindset, focus on the needs of end users, streamline and simplify processes, and maximize automation and digitalization opportunities

Your location will in Finland, role is full-time and fixed term employment due to a maternity leave cover till December 31st, 2025. You will report to the Director People Support & Training. We apply hybrid way of working with office days mixed with the ability to work from home valuing and promoting a good work life balance.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for customer service-oriented person with fluent Finnish and English language skills due to the scope of employees supported. We expect you to have proven experience (2+ years) in any HR area for example as a HR Generalist, People Advisor, HR Specialist or related customer service and admin roles. Basic knowledge of working with Workday and ServiceNow systems is an advantage.
You are accurate on your work, a fast learner, and a problem solver. You can handle also hectic days with various types of people cases in various channels. You feel pride or joy of helping our employees on their questions and actions and leaving a positive feeling on their day and experience with our services. Your proficiency is based on a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. You are a great communicator and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships internally and externally. A curious mindset and a driver to identify opportunities for optimizations and innovations is promoted.
