The ‘People’ Team provides support to the Trust over several areas including the provision of workforce information, recruitment, operational Human Resources (such as specialist People advice to managers and staff) and a variety of People projects.
We have a unique opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Human Resources (HR). The successful applicant will work as a People Team Co-Ordinator, supporting our People Team across a wide range of work, whilst at the same time working towards achieving a Level 3 Apprenticeship in HR Support.
The role is based at Howard Court in Welwyn Garden City and will be a mixture of office and home working days. We are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Undertaking the HR Support Apprenticeship is an essential requirement of the role. We are therefore looking for someone who is keen to
develop in the area of HR, and who is not already CIPD qualified.
You will be an integral part of a proactive People team providing professional, comprehensive and effective HR administration to support the team. This will include providing basic level advice on HR policy and procedures.

Word versions of documents are available if needed to allow for any adaptations to be made i.e. font, colour, background, convert to Read Aloud.
Manage and prioritise incoming and outgoing correspondence via a variety of media i.e. post, email and telephone and action as necessary. This will include drafting and preparing standard letters both accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure the maintenance of accurate and efficient filing systems, both paper and electronic. Strict levels of confidentiality must be adhered for all personal identifiable information.
Deal with telephone, mail and e-mail queries by prioritising and ensuring that appropriate messages are relayed as appropriate. This will include giving basic information and support relating to employee terms and conditions of employment.
Arrange and organise meetings, training days and hearings including booking venues and equipment, liaising with attendees and assisting with setting up meeting rooms and training venues etc.
Produce documents, charts, tables, databases etc, by use of Microsoft IT packages, e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and other software such as ESR
