Description:
FULL TIME, FIXED TERM - 12 MONTHS
This is a rare opportunity to be at the heart of Bristol City Council’s ambition to become a truly data driven organisation, working across Adult Social Care to drive performance improvement through the effective use of Business Intelligence and Insight. The provision of accurate, timely and insightful analysis is crucial to enable evidence led decision making and performance improvement by bringing to life the range of data available across the Directorate and translating it into improved performance and quality outcomes for vulnerable adults in Bristol
As the Performance & Business Intelligence Lead, you will be working to, and closely with Senior managers in Adult Social Care as they look to deliver a far reaching transformation programme, of which the innovative use of business intelligence, is a key component.
We are looking for an experienced analytics professional with the ambition to progress their career and take a significant step up in terms of responsibility and reach.
You will have significant technical experience of and be highly proficient in the use of relational databases, Microsoft SQL Server data tools and the Microsoft Azure environment including PowerBI.
You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of delivery around applying business intelligence in an Adult Social Care environment, with a deep understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, knowing how insight and analysis can help to improve equity and tackle structural inequality in all its forms.
Adult Social Care has a number of challenges working within a finite budget while trying to meet growing demands as the population grows and levels of complexity increase. We need a solution minded person who is naturally curious and wants to use their data and analytics skills to support the senior team make service improvements that can make a real impact.
In order to deliver in this exciting role you will need excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. You will be confident operating with senior leaders in a fast-paced environment which can be subject to rapid change and you will be able to originate both strategic and operational responses to opportunities and challenges.
