This posting will be used to fill two (2) permanent, full-time position. These positions are classified and are represented by a union.
Work Location: Salem/Marion; hybrid position
What you will do!
These positions are part of the Oregon Health Authority’s Medicaid Division Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) Operations section. A coordinated care organization is a network of all types of health care providers (physical health care, addictions and mental health care and dental care providers) who work together in their local communities to serve people who receive health care coverage under the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid). Today, there are
16 CCOs
operating in communities around Oregon.
Performance Data Analyst (2 positions). This position will be engaged in a variety of initiatives related to monitoring and improving health services under Oregon’s health system transformation. The primary purpose of this position is to support data systems and measurement efforts for the Quality Assurance and CCO Operations units. The position will make recommendations about, and in consultation with other units, plan and implement complex operational improvements related to Managed Care Organization (MCO) performance monitoring data systems to improve the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and usefulness of data. This position will make significant contributions to strategic planning and implementation efforts related to data and information to promote the triple aim of better health, better care and lower costs by means of improved and streamlined data collection and management.
This position will need to work across units, including the Information Systems Unit, the Actuarial Services Unit, and the Health Policy and Analytics Division, to assist with data analysis and reporting MCO performance. Issues and recommendations within the purview of this position are highly visible and potentially controversial to the affected health care constituents, state agencies, and the Governor’s office
