MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelors, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field, and a strong record of academic achievement
  • At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship
  • Available to work 40 hours a week for 15 weeks

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of software engineering processes, agile framework, tools (e.g.: programming proficiency in a language, preferably Python), methods, test development, algorithms and data structures
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts
  • Academic experience with one or more of the following programming languages including but not limited to Go, C++, Java, Python, Javascript
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

You will experience Splunking and what defines our culture while honing the skills which separate our development teams from others. You will get to work with smart and hardworking individuals who are doing state of the art development work in areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, infrastructure and event correlations across silos to build best-in-class business analytics software.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

  • Define, code and perform performance/scalability benchmarks on Splunk Enterprise and Cloud products, within the scope of a contained, end-to-end project.
  • Work with various profiling tools to identify performance and concurrency bottlenecks.
  • Work under the close supervision of a mentor with weekly check-ins
