SALARY RANGE:
Registered Nurse - $40.27 - $51.74 per hour
Enrolled Nurse - $33.50 – 35.74 per hour
Plus superannuation and access to salary packaging up to $15,900

ABOUT THE ROLE
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has multiple exciting opportunities available for experienced and passionate Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to work within our Perioperative Unit.
There are permanent full-time, part-time or casual positions available for the right candidate. The role and will require availability to work all shifts types across a 24/7 roster.
The Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and its surrounds since 1927. Our hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses who will be motivated by a challenging and fast paced environment.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered/Enrolled Nurse (without restriction)
- Minimum of one-year post-graduate perioperative or Scrub-Scout experience. If you have limited perioperative experience but have transferrable skills, training is available
- Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all time
