Mater Health is putting out an expression of interest for Perioperative Nurses (EN’s and RN’s) to join our regional casual pool! This exciting opportunity will see you travel to our stunning regional locations including Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Mackay and Townsville.
These opportunities will help us in servicing our regional patients and we are open to hearing from you around the type of shifts/hours you are looking for, whether that be one day, one week or months.
You will have your flights and accommodation all covered to help you get to the location you will be working at!
We are searching for Perioperative Nurses with experience in the following.
- Scrub Scout
- Anaesthetics
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Delivery of exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care
- Deliver appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status to identify and apply timely care intervention for best patient outcomes
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment
- Demonstrating a capacity to adapt to innovative models of care and service provision
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
- Previous experience as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse in a hospital setting with relevant periop experience
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
- Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practic
