Description:

Are you an experienced Personal Assistant looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a individual to support the Oncology, Head and Neck Clinical Business Unit, working 37.5 hours a week and based at Royal Preston Hospital. You will provide a confidential and comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the CBU Management Team.
You must have relevant practical experience in a Personal Assistant role in a busy office. Due to the nature of this position, you must have experience of working within a confidential environment, be able to exercise tact and diplomacy at all times and have a professional manner in order to deal with a wide range of enquiries from inside and outside the Trust.
A proactive approach and attention to detail is expected with the planning, coordination and documentation of meetings and projects that the CBU Management Team are responsible for developing. You will communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a professional and coordinated service.
You will have excellent organisational skills, have confidence in your advanced IT and communication skills, be able to exercise initiative, demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism and be aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity.
The Personal Assistant will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including managing and prioritising diaries and workload, setting tasks and keeping to timescales, convening and organising meetings, preparing presentations, initiating and responding to correspondence and preparing reports.

Significant previous Personal Assistant experience.
Advanced IT skills, knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a highly confidential and sensitive manner.
Ability to work on own initiative and work without supervision.
Experience of arranging meetings, to include preparation and production of agendas and minutes to a professional standard.
Ability to prepare reports and presentations with attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills.
Experience of working in a busy office managing own workload.
Experience of diary and email management
