Personal Banker
We are currently hiring a Personal Banker for an award winning bank who operate nationally across Australia. The role is based in Ascot, Brisbane close to many forms of public transport! So if this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you to progress in the financial industry, apply now!
Your new role
As a Personal Banker (Level 3) you will work as part of a close knit team and report directly to the Branch Manager. In this role you will be responsible for providing excellent levels of customer service and educating and cross-selling the bank’s products and services, both face to face and over the phone. If customer service is your passion, this is the perfect fit for you!

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high levels of customer service both face to face and via phone.
  • Assist members and prospective members with all personal lending enquiries
  • Data-entry, documentation preparation, ordering valuations and completing credit checks
  • Effectively managing membership needs and general enquiries
  • Opening and closing of customer accounts
  • Educating members on a variety of services you are able to offerAct as an escalation point to resolve member queries and complaints.

Your skills and experience

  • Previous Lending experience - credit cards, personal loans or home loans (not essential but an added bonus)
  • Branch experience (added plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to cross sell and educate customers on products and services
  • Effective listeningProblem solving ability
