Description:

  • Salary range: $69083 - $81274 per annum, depending on experience and skills.
  • Hours: This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, during Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

TE TŪRANGA | THE ROLE:

As a Personal Banking Consultant your role will be to exceed the expectations of your Customers through personalised financial analysis and real value add interactions. You will be given the tools to educate customers on various banking solutions and options, resulting in convenient and innovative product and service recommendations.

SUMMARY OF KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance and advice to our customers on ASB’s products and services, and when appropriate, refer specialised customer needs to the applicable channel
  • Help customers through their home ownership journey
  • Effectively respond to customer requests, concerns or enquiries when they arise
  • Collaborate in a positive way with others in the team to ensure we live and breathe our purpose and ASB values

    Ideally, we are looking for someone who has current home lending experience, or has a passion for delivering financial satisfaction to their Customers, who thrives on building relationships, is digitally savvy and able think on their feet. You will be passionate about delivering unbeatable customer outcomes, be able to build credibility with your customer service team and be pro-active and confident in your ability to manage your day.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a frontline role within ASB or similar, preferred
  • Completion of formal sales courses or programmes, e.g. Unbeatable Conversations and Customer Ready workshop
  • A NZQF Level 4 or higher qualification in Business Management would be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of fundamental investments (including KiwiSaver) personal lending products and procedures
  • Have personal attributes to engage and understand our customers and our customers’ needs
  • The ability to adapt and grow through experience and through difficult interactions
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • To be tech savvy and embrace new digital ways of working for us and the customer in systems and methodology
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development
