SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting.
- NT Driver’s license and access to a reliable and fully comprehensive insured vehicle.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.
- Strong technical skills and able to log and complete tasks via mobile phones and apps.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
A new opportunity has come available for an experienced Personal Care Assistant to join our Home Care team in Alice Springs on a part-time basis. Working Monday, Thursday and Friday’s from 9am-5pm, this role will see you travelling to people’s homes and providing in-home cleaning duties and support to clients on visits, appointments, and general care duties in accordance with this approved care plan.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring previous experience in Aged or Disability Care. You will be comfortable travelling to our consumers homes to deliver our care services and will have a reliable and fully insured vehicle. This role will have a large portion of cleaning / domestic duties applied. You must be comfortable to complete allocated cleaning tasks as part of this full-tie role.
As the successful candidate, you will be kind and compassionate in your approach to our consumers and be understanding and supportive of their needs whilst, able to interpret and understand their care-plans and stick to the delegated services.
