Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

“I have Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (with anxiety and depression), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and am acutely sensitive to the modern world – debilitated by mobile phones, WiFi signals, other technology, electricity, chemicals and perfumes, which significantly limit access to public places, work and social life. I am currently housebound with limited mobility.
I am warm and friendly, in my 50’s and I value real connection with the people that work with me. I value your skills and input. I am earth loving, creative and spiritual. I’m looking for PA’s who are warm-hearted, calm, emotionally aware, innovative, practical, resilient and nature loving, to support me to maintain my environment, deal with challenges, help me communicate with the outside world and support well-being and move forwards gently.

SUIT SOMEONE:

Warm-hearted, calm and caring
Experienced in mental health work
Able to adapt and respond to changing needs
With good communication, internet and phone skill
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
You must be a non-smoker, non-vaper and non-perfume/aftershave user (due to employer’s allergies) and ideally be a driver over 25 with a clean driver’s licence.
2 references and Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) required (paid for by employer).

PA ROLES:

Role 1 : 16 hours per week, split into 2-3 shifts per week (daytimes)
Role 2 : 10 hours per week, split into 2 shifts per week (daytimes)
Both roles : some of the hours are doing communication/research/admin from your own home.
