Responsibilities:

At Uniting AgeWell Kingsville our Personal Care Workers co-ordinate personal care for residents in accordance with care plans which meet their individual needs and preferences. Working within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective clinical and emotional support to residents, recognise changes in residents’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns.

  • Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
  • Provide personal care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
  • To support nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
  • To monitor the cleanliness, safety, environment and promptly report issues of concern
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with -residents, their relatives and friends
  • Ensure quality and appropriateness of equipment, clothing and other personal items for residents
  • Permanent part time and casual morning, afternoon and overnight shifts
