Personal Finance & Business Teacher - SY 24/25

Essex North Shore is seeking a Personal Finance and Business Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Experience teaching personal finance, statistics and accounting is desireable.
Licensure or licenseable in Business (5-12), Business Technology or other appropriate licensure in related field by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is required.
Satisfactory CORI, SAFIS, and SORI required.
Bilingual preferred.

• Provide instruction in the content in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in the specified content area.
• Provide instruction in Theory to students in all four grade levels, as assigned.
• Document student performance, student behavior, and student achievement within the career education setting.
• Provides review and reinforcement of new concepts; support students in the completion of their assigned tasks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of students’ IEPs, as well as the accommodations and modifications necessary for student success; modify assignments, tests, and quizzes in collaboration with special educators, if required.
• Develops resources for students to be successful, such as models, graphic organizers, and copies of class notes, video clips, demonstrations, etc..
• Modify assignments, tests, and quizzes as required.
• Participate as a member of the Content Department; collaborate with teachers within the department and within the cluster.
• Maintains documentation, including student performance, behavior, progress data, notation of student absences/tardies, and conversations with parents and administrators.
• Provide content support outside of the general education classroom, as necessary.
• Integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Respond to any correspondence, both oral and written, that comes from a parent or guardian.
• Participates in conferences and meetings when appropriate; contribute observations and ideas.
• Accept additional responsibilities as may be required under the direction of the Principal or Designee.
