The Boeing Company has exciting opportunity for Mission Systems Engineers to contribute to the definition and development of Mission Systems, Mission Computing, and Mission Systems Architecture solutions for Phantom Works in Berkeley, MO .
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced or Senior Level Mission Systems Engineer.
The Mission Systems Engineer will work across both software and hardware integration concepts aligned with our program growth strategies.
The Phantom Works Mission Systems Team develops complex, highly integrated, advanced systems into autonomous platforms enabling future growth for Boeing and our customers. We need innovative engineers like you to help shape the future of military aviation by developing and integrating next generation Mission Systems capabilities as part of a very exciting and critically important autonomous systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
3 or more years’ experience with Mission Systems architecture
3 or more years of experience with software utilized on air vehicle, avionics, weapons or mission systems
3 or more years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work
(Level 4) 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

(Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
(Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities:

Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
