ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for Pharmacists keen to move into a role without direct patient contact to work within a multidisciplinary team. Positions are located in the DVA Brisbane CBD office.
Please note: You must be an Australian citizen and be able to attain and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Defence security and vetting service.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
- At least 5 years current clinical experience.
- Strong critical analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical professionals.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and judgement in dealing with client related issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
- You must be an Australian citizen and be able to attain and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Defence security and vetting service.
Responsibilities:
In this unique Pharmacy Adviser role, you will:
- Provide an internal point of escalation for pharmaceutical clinical advice.
- Assess and process medicinal cannabis funding submissions and RPBS written authority funding applications.
- Advise DVA on appropriate clinical treatment within the DVA health entitlements legislation.
- Provide specialised clinical, business and policy advice to DVA policy and programs staff.
- Provide advice in support of program and provider audit/reviews under an agreed assurance procedural framework.
- Respond to queries from DVA business areas regarding health evidence.
- Liaise with external providers in relation to requests for services under an agreed procedural framework
