JOB OVERVIEW:

The Oncology pharmacist is responsible for the safe compounding, preparing and dispensing of chemotherapy in addition to ensuring all medication management standards are adhered to.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree
• Minimum two years dedicated oncology experience required including chemotherapy preparation and strong familiarity of NCCN guidelines
• Familiarity with all phases of Hospital and Ambulatory Care Pharmacy
• Working knowledge of public health matters.
• Familiarity with Federal and State laws regulating professional and hospital practice of Pharmacy.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of reporting tools in addition to proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Effective oral and written communication skills are a must.

Preferred:

• Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) preferred, Candidates who do not hold a Board Certification in Oncology will be required to obtain Board Certification within three years of hire into this position
