Are you interested in beginning a career within our retail pharmacy team?
We at M Health Fairview are looking to fill a pharmacy clerk role!
In this position you will provide customer service, handle cash register transactions, receive patient prescriptions, merchandise and ensure adequate stock for the over-the-counter area, unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy in proper order.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-1 year retail experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities/Job Description:

  • Handle cash register transactions and accurately enter sales information into cash registers.
  • Prepare cash drawer reports daily according to department polices and procedures.
  • Provide accurate and timely assistance to customers.
  • Manage credit card transactions.
  • Refer patients/customers to pharmacist when appropriate.
  • Assist customers with prescriptions and/or other products.
  • Complete special orders to meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrate ability to respond to customer/co-worker questions or concerns in an appropriate and customer-focused manner.
  • Receive prescriptions from patients and record the proper patient information following department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the correct medication, supplies and equipment are received by the patient.
  • Deliver items to patients, physician’s offices, nursing stations, long term care facilities, and other areas as assigned.
  • Package and mail/UPS/Quicksilver items appropriately.
  • Manage prescription signature log.
  • Order, receive, price and put stock into inventory.
  • Display products in the store to be visually pleasing.
  • Ensure each product has a POS shelf label.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
