Description:
Managerial To be responsible for the service provision of the ward based clinical assistant team across the three sites. To be responsible for the management of the clinical assistant team (directly or indirectly) Ensure the monthly staffing rotas are completed, taking into account absence, workload and skill mix, including weekend and bank holiday rota and ensuring gaps are filled in advance. To complete or ensure completion of yearly appraisals of assistant team and hold regular one to one meetings with team members to support the wellbeing, training and development of the person. To lead on recruitment and selection, induction and training of new staff in the team.
To ensure that HR policies are followed and that all staff are trained appropriately for the management and supervisions of others. To provide management support and advice to line managers. To hold regular team meetings to convey messages to staff and receive feedback from staff. To help identify new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and review existing SOPs to ensure they remain up to date.
Promote risk management systems within own area and ensure untoward incidents are reported according to departmental / trust policy. To participate in all relevant departmental meetings To contribute to the quality improvement of the pharmacy service by contributing to audits, analysing results, writing reports, supporting practice changes and reviews of processes. Be accountable for your decisions and duties to other people Recognise and work within the limits of your competence To be able to take responsibility for complex contentious decisions
