Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting career? Would you like to join a fantastic hardworking team and be able to follow a career path? Here at Portsmouth Hospital University Trust we are recruiting to our expanding Pharmacy team! We are very lucky to have recently moved into larger brand-new premises based on site within QA Hospital and therefore seeking more Pharmacy Support Assistants within our Dispensary team.
This is a busy, varied role, based within a large diverse team providing medicines to over 1000 inpatients, clinics and outpatients every day. You will have excellent opportunities to learn and fully utilise your strong organisation skills and great communication ability daily, where you will be making a direct impact to the rest of the Pharmacy team and patients too. As you will be handling large boxes etc, physical fitness is a must; it is not a sit at a desk job and involves walking, lifting etc so perfect for those who love to be on the go! If you are enthusiastic and reliable you will do just great here at PHUT.
Your day will be occupied with various tasks – primarily the role will involve ordering and receiving Pharmacy stock which is supplied to our many wards and departments but also, manning the reception area of pharmacy, dispensing duties using our fantastic new robot and automated cabinets, emergency box preparation and delivering medication throughout the hospital. We are looking for applicants who have ideally have GCSE’s in Maths, English and Science with a great attitude to come and learn about medicines and all things pharmacy.
Please contact Paul Rugman - paul.rugman@porthosp.nhs.uk to discuss the role.
