Description:
DESCRIPTION
Under direct supervision of management, this position is responsible for supporting the Pharmacist team. Responsibilities include patient care coordination and scheduling of referrals, answering incoming pharmacy-related telephone calls, emails, chat messages and faxes, addressing pharmacy-related gaps in care with patients and escalating patient issues to the pharmacist, assisting with prior authorizations, perform duties under protocol, and support general pharmacy-related issue resolution under the guidance and direction of Pharmacists.
Primary responsibilities include acting as the primary Los Angeles regional pharmacy buyer for multi-specialty ambulatory care medical groups across the region. Working with site operations to review clinic pharmaceutical orders to identify cost savings opportunities, validating supply deliveries with the clinic leads and ensuring timely reconciliation of invoices. keeping detailed records and tracking sheets for all clinics under primary regional responsibilities. Working with department leaders to ensure compliance to safety and regulatory standards and promote optimal outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Coursework/Training: Completed coursework in Medical Terminology. Or equivalent education/experience.
- Has working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- California Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- 2 years Pharmacy technician experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- EMR or IDX experience.
