Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for an exciting and challenging specialist role within a busy department?
We are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly, patient-centred Pharmacy team based within the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex . This role is the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Controlled Drugs supervising the supply of Controlled Drugs and FP10 Prescription pads to Trust Wards and Departments,
For this role you will need to be registered with the GPhC and to have achieved a Regional Final Accuracy Checking Accreditation.
In this role you will be responsible for providing an accurate and efficient service in the pharmacy dispensary and on the wards. You will need to be a highly motivated and responsible individual with a passion for customer service and team work. You must have a high level of attention to detail and develop knowledge around the laws and working practices related to controlled drugs and FP10s. You will also be a final accuracy checker and able to carry out all other dispensary related duties including dispensing and team leading as well as carrying out medicines optimisation duties on the wards.
You will participate in the stock control of Controlled Drugs and report back to Lead Pharmacist Patient Services, be responsible for the ordering of FP10 prescription pads, supervise the ordering of Controlled Drugs and carry out audit of ward and department Controlled Drug registers .
You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills further through our development programme supported by a friendly and experienced team.
Working patterns will include some late standby shifts, weekend and bank holiday working with an on-call commitment.
