Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join us on a full-time basis at Slade Pharmacy Hollywood (formerly Epic Pharmacy Hollywood). Based at the highly regarded Hollywood Private Hospital, you’ll make a daily difference to the lives of people in the local community. You’ll deliver exceptional pharmacy services for our client hospitals and their patients. And you’ll do it with an innovative, multidisciplinary team of connected, caring people. You will also have the exciting opportunity to learn aseptic compounding, with full training provided.
This is an amazing opportunity to further develop your pharmacy career and gain experience working in a hospital environment through the support and training of our collaborative team. You will be based onsite at the Hollywood Private Hospital in Nedlands.
If you have experience in a hospital or community pharmacy within Australia, and are eager to gain, or further, your knowledge in the exciting world of hospital pharmacy, then this is a perfect opportunity for you.
This is a 12 month full-time position with possibility of extension, working 76 hours per fortnight. The pharmacy operates between 8am to 7pm on weekdays and 8am to 2pm on weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Delivery of medications to hospital wards
- Inventory control and management
- Process sales transactions and assist with account queries
- Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Learn about aseptic compounding, with full training provided.
