POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Technician supports the flow of patient care by submitting authorizations, coordinating care, and providing excellent patient relations. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for providing support to the IOD pharmacy program.

Responsibilities:
- Submitting medication Prior to Authorization and Appeals requests
- Processing Third Party Prescriptions to payors for payment
- Ordering prescription medications
- Labeling Medications and coordinating delivery
- Provide general patient care services
- Call patients to schedule refill appointment follow-ups
- Data mining/form creation using EMR
- Documenting/Uploading to EMR
- Record keeping of various required documents
